Nepal to go in a lockdown from Tuesday
Kathmandu, March 23
With the second case of COVID-19 in Nepal, government today decided to impose a lockdown, which will come into force from Tuesday at 6:00 a.m. The government has taken drastic measure to control the spread of COVID-19 in the country. The nationwide lockdown will continue till March 31.
A meeting of COVID-19 Prevention and Control Co-ordination Committee led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Ishwor Pokharel held on Monday decided to impose the lockdown.
People will not be allowed to come out from their homes except emergencies and all the transportation services will be closed.
Meanwhile, vehicles transporting foods and essential goods will be allowed to operate.
