Lumbini Provincial hospital starts haemodialysis
Rupandehi, January 6
Lumbini Provincial Hospital has started haemodialysis service. Province 5 Minister for Social Development Sudarshan Baral inaugurated the services amidst a ceremony held in the hospital today.
Dr Shakti Basnet, haemodialysis division head in the hospital said that the haemodialysis services will be given from four beds and other beds will be added as per the demands.
Speaking amidst the event the minister said that awareness needed to be raised to inform public about prevention is better than cure.
He also said that other health services will also be extended in the hospital. Neuro health services will also be extended in the hospital this year.
“It is not only haemodialysis but there is a need for other health services to be extended in the hospital," said minister Baral.
Speaking amidst the ceremony he said that it is also the duty of the government to save the kidneys of citizens.
He also suggested all the team members to take their responsibility as the services in the hospitals are all team work.
