Since, winter is prime time when most of the people get infected by flu and other disease; we have to use healthy foods to avoid such illness and keep out gut, where our immune system lies, strong.

Based on the suggestions and recommendations of the experts, here are the foods that could be beneficial for you to keep yourself safe from suffering illness during the winter.

Probiotic-rich foods

Since, yogurt, kimchi, and sauerkraut are high in the good bacteria that keep gut strong, we can avoid from getting sick by eating such foods as they have plenty of probiotics.

Water and tea

Although, people do not sweat and feel thirsty during the winter, it is important to stay hydrated during the season and drinking enough water and tea is must. Drinking water and tea is also important to keep our cells working properly.

Turmeric and black pepper

As per the experts, turmeric, specifically as an anti-inflammatory all-star, could be paired with black pepper, makes it better absorbed in the body and keep our body active during the winter season.
